The Stressful Part of Home Remodeling:
As a homeowner, going through a home remodel can be a fun and rewarding experience. However, it’s important to prepare yourself for the fact that it will be stressful at times. It doesn’t matter how big or small your project is or if you’ve hired the perfect team to remodel your home. There will be a time when you’re just ready for the project to be over with. This typically happens towards the end of the project (or what feels like it should be the end of the project) after the drywall is hung. This is more commonly referred to in the remodeling industry as, “finish work.”
For a number of reasons, this part of the project that involves the “finish work” can be the most frustrating for homeowners. It’s usually the part of the project that gets the most delays. This is especially aggravating to a homeowner when no progress is being made and all he/she wants is to be done. Coincidentally, this is also the time when the contractor will look to the homeowner for the most input. At this point, it’s up to you to pick out your paint colors, tile, flooring, accessories, etc.? All of the countless little details fall on you, and all you want is to have your home back.
